Sea to Sky 2026: mobile data that works when you land

Kemer, Antalya

Most of the field flies into Antalya, and the paddock sits an hour down the coast in Kemer. This page covers one thing: arriving with data already working, so your first hour goes to the bike and the paperwork instead of a SIM queue.

Set it up at home. It activates the moment you land.

SEATOSKY

Three steps, all of them before you fly

  1. 1

Buy while you still have your own connection

Choose a plan and pay at home. Nothing needs doing at the airport, and nothing depends on finding Wi-Fi in a terminal you do not know.

  2. 2

Install it on the phone you are bringing

The eSIM downloads over your home Wi-Fi and then sits dormant. It does nothing until it finds a Turkish network.

  3. 3

    Land already connected

Your phone finds the network while you are still taxiing. Maps, your team chat and the transfer you booked all work before you reach baggage reclaim.

Sea level to 2,365 metres

The race climbs from the beach to the Tahtalı summit across three days. Signal changes as you go up, and it is worth knowing where it thins out before you are standing in it.

  1. 2,365 m

    Mountain

The summit itself has line of sight for miles, but the climb passes through dead ground. Treat data as unreliable between the start and the finish, and tell whoever is tracking you the same.

    64 km · 7 h

  2. 900 m

    Forest

The forest stage runs through canyons and river beds where the signal drops in and out. Download your maps and the day's schedule before the start, not on the way.

    42 km · 4 h

  3. 0 m

    Beach

Kemer and the coast road have the strongest signal of the week. This is where to upload footage, send documents and do anything that needs real bandwidth.

Worth knowing

  • One phone can cover the crew

Hotspot is included, so a mechanic's tablet or a second phone in the van can share the same plan.

  • Your own number stays live

The eSIM carries data only. Your home SIM stays active for calls, SMS and the WhatsApp number your team already has.

  • Running low mid-week

Top up the same eSIM in the app instead of installing a new one. Nothing has to be reconfigured between race days.

Race information

Entries, the schedule, technical rules and results are published by the organiser. We keep none of that here, because it changes and theirs is the version that counts.

Frequently asked questions

Will there be signal on the mountain stages?

In places, and not reliably. The plan runs on a major Turkish network, which covers the towns and the coast well, but no operator covers every canyon and north face in the Taurus range. Download offline maps and treat live tracking as a bonus rather than a plan.

Can I install it before I arrive in Türkiye?

Yes, and that is the point of doing it this way. The eSIM installs over any internet connection at home and stays dormant until your phone finds a Turkish network on arrival.

Do I lose my own number?

No. The eSIM is a second line carrying data only, so your home SIM keeps handling calls, SMS and your existing WhatsApp number. Most phones from the last few years run both at once.

How much data does a race week take?

It depends on how much video you move. Maps, messaging and tracking are light; uploading footage every evening is not. If you are unsure, start on a mid-size plan and top up — that costs less than paying for headroom you never use.
